Tweet described as racist attributed to Weatherston aide

On July 25, 2018, Rep. Weatherston said he was considering disciplining an aide who posted what was described as a racist tweet on the lawmaker's account. According to Weatherston, the aide admitted to posting the tweet by accident. Weatherston revoked the aide's access to the lawmaker's Twitter account and was consulting with human resources and legislative leadership on potential disciplinary actions.
