Unemployment benefits aren?t put in place for people to depend on, its put in place as a lever to get back into the job market.

3. Should immigrants unlawfully present in the United States who graduate from Ohio high schools be eligible for in-state tuition at public universities?

- Funding for charter schools are very controversial. Some charter schools are up to par at providing an excellent education choice for those families who cannot afford to live in a better performing district but some charter schools are eating up the public funds that could be used to improve public schools that need it or expand the EdChoice program. Also, providing in-state tuition at public universities to unlawful immigrants provide unfair treatment for those immigrants here lawfully. The unlawful immigrants should work towards legal status to take away much burden for their residency here in the US

3. Do you support greater efforts by Ohio state government in closing the pay gap between men and women?
- Yes
4. Other or expanded principles
- Equal work should mean equal pay. Ohio should require men and women who work in the same workplace be given equal pay for their equal work and I will support that. In order to protect our LGBTQ community, I would also prioritize amending our current anti-discrimination laws. Currently the Ohio anti-discrimination law does not include protection against sexual orientation or gender identity. Your employer, housing, or public service should not discriminate against you because of your sexual orientation or gender identity
In the following area, please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
- I would also prioritize amending our current anti-discrimination laws to include protection against sexual orientation or gender identity. Your employer, housing, or public service should not discriminate against you because of your sexual orientation or gender identity. Another priority would be with public funds for education. Education funding structures should ensure that public funds are being fairly distributed to the schools and districts who have the greatest educational needs. The concern I have is that the funds are not being properly allocated to the schools and districts with the greatest education needs. The opiate crisis is another priority.
