Thomas P. Murt is a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 152. He was first elected to the chamber in 2006.
Murt has served as Commisssioner of the Upper Moreland Township.
Murt earned his B.S. in economics from Pennsylvania State University and his M.A. in education from LaSalle University. He then attended graduate economics coursework at Temple University. Murt also received his Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Instructional I Teaching Certificate from Gywnedd-Mercy College.
Murt's professional experience includes working as the Director of the Upper Moreland School District and as an Assistant Coordinator at the Counseling and Advising Center at Penn State University's Abington campus. Murt served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army Reserve from 1990 to 2008.
