Please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
- My priorities are for the well-being of the people in my district. We need infrastructure, including rural broadband. We need affordable, quality healthcare. We need a more diverse, forward-looking economy that protects workers' rights and encourages small business development. Our big infrastructure push of the 1950s was paid for through taxes on the rich and on corporations, because that is where the money was. That is still where the money is. Infrastructure will greatly benefit everyone, so I believe that increasing taxes for the rich and corporations will be a fair way to pay for the development we need.
