Vice Chair, Agriculture and Forestry
Priority Issues:
* I believe that there needs to be legislation that encourages business to come and stay in Vermont not drive them out.
* I understand the frustration of trying to provide quality education that is affordable to tax-payers,but I don't believe consoldation to a few large districts will work either.
* We need to find other ways to help fund education to take some burden off property taxes and use all those funds raised for education for education.
* Being a cancer survivor I know the importance of quality health care.
* I will continue to support health care for all, but I can't support single payer with payroll taxes as a main funding sorce
* As a selectmen I have help to draft and implement many policies in financial management of our town.
* I believe that you should know what effects a bill will have, how it will work, what it will cost, and where the funds will come from before you pass it to law not after.
* I will not pretend to know all the answers but promise to use a common sense approach to my decisions.
