Richard Heath is a Republican member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 2. Heath is running for re-election in the primary on May 22, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018. He was first elected to the chamber in 2012.
Heath was a candidate for Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture in the 2015 elections. He filed his candidacy on January 26, 2015, but was defeated by Ryan Quarles in the Republican primary held on May 19, 2015. Heath ran to replace James Comer Jr. (R), who was running for governor.
Heath has worked as a farmer, school teacher and farm cooperative manager. He is currently the president and owner of Heath Building Materials Incorporated.
