Ralph Hise is a Republican member of the North Carolina State Senate, representing District 47. Hise is running for re-election in the primary on May 8, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018.
He was first elected to the chamber in 2010.
He served two terms as mayor of Spruce Pine.
Hise earned his bachelor's degree in Statistics from Appalachian State University in 2000 and his master's degree in Higher Education Administration from North Carolina State University in 2003. His professional experience includes working as a member of the faculty at Mayland Community College in Spruce Pine.
