- I remain convinced that West Virginia can continue the progress we've made in improving our state's economy as we continue to become more competitive with our legal climate, a regulatory system and our tax code. I'm an advocate of empowering our school boards, our superintendents, our principals, our teachers and parents to make decisions closer to the classroom. I'll continue to demand accountability and transparency across state government and my efforts to eliminate waste, fraud and abuse through regular comprehensive audits.
