Kansas Corporation Commission (2014 - 2018)
Apple was sworn in as a member of the Kansas Corporation Commission on April 11, 2014. He was appointed to the commission by Gov. Brownback in March 2014, upon the expiration of former commissioner Thomas E. Wright's second term. Apple's appointment was confirmed by the state Senate on April 6, 2014 and it expired on March 15, 2018. Apple did seek reappointment to another four-year term.
