Milam Langella was born in New Haven, Connecticut. He earned a bachelor's degree from Southern Connecticut University in 1995 and a graduate degree from Marine Corps University Command and Staff College in 2016. Langella served in the U.S. Marine Corps and reached the rank of corporal. He served again in the U.S. Marine Corps and reached the rank of second lieutenant.
