Matt Pierce is a Democratic member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing District 61. Pierce is running for re-election in the primary on May 8, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018.

He was first elected to the chamber in 2002. He previously served on the Bloomington City Council from 1995 to 2002.

Pierce's professional experience includes working as a visiting lecturer with the Indiana University Department of Telecommunications, Chief of Staff to Congressman Baron Hill, Principal Clerk of the Indiana State House and on the staff of the Indiana State House.
