Reason for Seeking Public Office:
There are two main reasons that I am running for office. First, I want to ensure a proper education for our children that will set them up for success. Our Liberal Federal Government is trying to dictate every aspect of our children's education, curriculum, and culture. The end result is indoctrinated children who are learning as little as possible in order to pass standardized tests so the Democrats can pat themselves on the backs and claim that no child has been left behind. They don't seem to care that America is being left behind. But they do want to ensure that your daughters have absolutely no say in whether or not they have any privacy in the restrooms or changing rooms. If schools do not comply, they are threatened with loosing Federal Funding. This funding only represent 8% to 9.5% of our school's total budgets. And we spend almost as much money trying to comply as we receive.
We need to give our education system's back to the states. Let our Teachers and our Districts decide what education fits the needs of our students the best. With a little bit of State oversight to ensure that YOUR tax dollars are being invested in our children.
We need to invest in the Vocational Training of our youth in the High School level. While I encourage all kids to go to college, there are many who will not choose this path, and we need to help prepare them for careers in Agriculture, Manufacturing, Craftsmanship, ect. If we invest in the vocational training now, we can lower the amount of money going to Social Service programs in the future because our citizens will be ready to earn a living wage.
In addition to educating our kids, we need to do a better job of keeping our business in the state of Missouri, and new businesses to this state. Our government can do three things to help: Stop taking your hard earned profits in the form of Taxes, pass "Right to work" legislation to protect our employees, and get out of your way. The government cannot create jobs, we can only help our own businesses succeed so they can create jobs. We are loosing too many companies to states that understand that our businesses are the backbone of their state. This needs to stop immediately!
