- We, in RI, recently enacted same sex marriage laws. While I did not support the legislation, it is now the law of the "RI land," and it is now all our duty to obey the laws.

- Jobs/economy: We need to build upon targeted investments, including workforce development initiatives, innovation in our economy by leveraging higher education to create 21st century jobs, the R&D tax credit, First Wave Closing Fund, expanding the Innovation Voucher program, reducing the corporate minimum tax and eliminate of the commercial sales tax on energy.
Education, We need to continue to build upon free PSAT and SAT, PrepareRI, P-TECH Initiative, the creation of the RI Promise Scholarship, Wavemaker Fellowship program offering tax credits to defray student loans to college graduates who live and work in RI, and CS for Rhode Island (CS4RI) Initiative.
