Because of amendment one, there has been a significant increase in funds for the environment. However they need to be properly appropriated. I also support medicaid expansion which would not increase state funding but would come from the federal government for increased healthcare spending.

I continue to support economic diversification in Florida. Amendment 4 which I sponsored and which was passed by the voters, will promote the alternative and renewable energy industry. I also proudly supported a new spring training facility in Palm Beach County. I support more funding for education to improve our students' end results. I believe we can do this through doing away with some of the local project funding. Lastly, I continue to advocate for medicaid expansion.
