On June 16, 2021, Faust was taken into custody and arrested on charges of sexual assault of a child. He was charged with four felonies: enticement of a child, sexual assault of a child by a person in a position of trust, internet sexual exploitation of a child, and internet luring of a child. As of September 2, 2021, Faust's hearing was scheduled for October.
