- We have to get control of our state budget! It has grown from 16 to almost 22 billion within the past four years. Our government should be as least burdensome on us as possible, thus reducing the tax burden on each of us.Along those same lines, we need tax reform. The most effective reform would be the FairTax. It would provide the most fair system while at the same time it would be the least burdensome on the poor.Lastly, we have to get control of our illegal immigration problem and actually enforce our laws.
