Justin Mark Chenette is a Democratic member of the Maine State Senate, representing District 31. He was first elected to the chamber in 2016.
Chenette is also a former Democratic member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 15 from 2012 to 2016. When he was first elected to the chamber in 2012 he was the youngest legislator in Maine as well as the youngest openly gay legislator in the country.
Chenette served on the State Board of Education from April 2008 to June 2009 and on the City of Saco Committee from May 2010 to August 2011.
Chenette did not seek re-election to the Maine House of Representatives in 2016.
Chenette's professional experience includes working as a Campaign Strategist with Rep. Valentino for Senate, Assistant Morning Producer for Fox 23's Good Day Maine and doing freelance public relations work for Rocky Coast Marketing.
