John W. Rogers, Jr. is a Democratic member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 52. He was first elected to the chamber in 1982. Rogers is running for re-election in the primary on June 5, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018.
Rogers was born on December 16, 1940. His professional experience includes serving as president and photographer for Rogers and Rogers Inc. He has also served as the director of Minority Affairs, a public relations counselor and as an administrator at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Rogers is a member of the Alabama Council on Crime and Delinquency, the Boy Scouts of America, and Alpha Phi Alpha. He has been on the board of directors for the Birmingham Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Fourth Avenue Young Men's Christian Association.
