Richards to go on Statewide "Labor Week" Tour Kentucky House Speaker Jody Richards today announced that his campaign has dedicated the week of May 7 through May 11 to rally support from labor unions across the state. The tour will take Richards from Ashland to Owensboro, meeting with various labor groups to show his support of their efforts."Working families across the Commonwealth are fighting everyday to have a better way of life. I'm proud to stand beside them in that fight," Richards said. "I am honored to have the support of so many working Kentuckians.""Labor Week" begins today with a rally with United Steelworkers in Ashland at the USWA Local 1865 Union Hall at 5pm. Other events for the week include: * Tuesday, May 8 - Breakfast with United Mine Workers of America District 12, SubDistrict 23, Greenville, KY * Wednesday, May 9 - Luncheon with AT&T employees, including members of Communications Workers of America Local 3314, Owensboro, KY * Thursday, May 10 - Meet and Greet with Teamsters at American Greetings, Bardstown, KY * Friday, May 11 - "Friend"raiser with local labor leaders and members of the Jefferson Co.
