Joanna Cappiello-Leopold (Democratic Party) ran for election to the Louisiana House of Representatives to represent District 105. Cappiello-Leopold lost in the primary on October 14, 2023.
Louisiana elections use the majority-vote system. All candidates compete in the same primary, and a candidate can win the election outright by receiving more than 50 percent of the vote.
