Jim Murphy is a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives, representing District 133. Murphy was first elected to the chamber in 2010. He was previously elected to the chamber in 2006, but left office after the 2008 elections and rejoined the chamber after the 2010 elections. Murphy is running for re-election in 2018. The primary election took place on March 6, 2018. The general election is being held on November 6, 2018.
Murphy attended the University of Texas-Austin. He is a consultant for the Westchase District.
