Jeff Jackson is a Democratic member of the North Carolina State Senate, representing District 37. Jackson is running for re-election in the primary on May 8, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018.
He was first elected to the chamber in a special election held by Democratic leaders in Mecklenburg County on May 3, 2014, to replace Dan Clodfelter (D), who resigned to become Mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Jackson earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in philosophy from Emory University and his J.D. from UNC Chapel Hill. His professional experience includes working as an assistant district attorney in Gaston County.
