Policy Positions

New Hampshire Congressional Election 2018 Political Courage Test

Abortion

1. Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
- Pro-life

2. Other or expanded principles
- The culture of life is healthier for our society than the culture of death.

Budget

1. In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
- No

2. In order to balance the budget, do you support reducing defense spending?
- No

3. Other or expanded principles
- I would start by eliminating the Department of Education. We have 50 state depts. of education. There is no need for a 51st in Washington DC to dictate to the states as to how to educate our children.

Campaign Finance

1. Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
- No

2. Other or expanded principles
- A campaign contribution is a form of free speech. I would make one law that all campaign contributions be from US citizens.

Economy

1. Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
- No

2. Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
- Yes

3. Other or expanded principles
- Corporations don't pay taxes. They pass the cost of taxation onto the consumer. If a corp makes a widget that costs them $10.00 to make. They sell it to the hardware man for $15.00 and the hardware man sells it to the consumer for $20.00. It works. But, if the gov taxes the corp $5.00 per widget, it costs the corp $15.00 to make that widget. They have to charge the hardware man $20.00 and the hardware man charges the consumer $25.00.The consumer is the one that pays the tax.

Education

1. Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
- No

2. Other or expanded principles
- Local education is always better than education dictated by bureaucrats in Washington.

Energy & Environment

1. Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)?
- No

2. Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
- No

3. Other or expanded principles
- No Answer

Guns

1. Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
- No

2. Other or expanded principles
- No Answer

Health Care

1. Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
- Yes

2. Other or expanded principles
- Medical savings accounts will make each individual the owner of their own insurance company. Over time, the costs of medical procedures will go down because of the competitive pressures.

Immigration

1. Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
- Yes

2. Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
- Yes

3. Other or expanded principles
- No Answer

Marijuana

1. Do you support the legalization of marijuana for recreational purposes?
- No

2. Other or expanded principles
- I support the decriminalization of marijuana.

National Security

1. Should the United States use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a nuclear weapon?
- Yes

2. Do you support increased American intervention in Middle Eastern conflicts beyond air support?
- No

3. Other or expanded principles
- The mullahs in Iran are constantly chanting "Death to America" and "Death to Israel." They are an end timer religion that believes that they will rule the world after an apocalypse caused when the 12th Imam rises from a well. I don't think that Iran should be allowed to possess a nuclear bomb.

Administrative Priorities

Please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
- Eliminate the national debt and balance the budget. The national debt is currently at $22 trillion and climbing fast. That does not include the + or - 100 trillion promised to the US citizens in the form of unfunded mandates and retirement benefits. Politicians are buying votes from citizens by promising free things in exchange for their vote. They are currently delivering on their promises by charging the costs to our children and grandchildren.I am a businessman. I know how to balance a checkbook. I will bring that mindset to Washington with me.
