Legislative Priorities

- 1) I am in favor of the State participating in the ACA and expanding our Medicaid program. This is a cost-neutral expansion. In other words, no additional burdens will be placed on the SD taxpayer. 2) Corrections reform-- I'm for changes to our criminal statutes that would make non-violent crimes, like ingestion and possession of controlled subs, less onerous on the defendant and taxpayer. 3) I'm for mandatory disclosure of campaign financing sources and more transparency and accountability in State government.
