Erica Smith-Ingram is a Democratic member of the North Carolina State Senate, representing District 3. Smith-Ingram is running for re-election in the primary on May 8, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018.
She was first elected to the chamber in 2014.
Smith-Ingram earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in 1994 and her M.A. in Religious Studies from Howard University School of Divinity in 2000. His professional experience includes working for Boeing as a Senior Specialist Engineer from 1993 to 1997, for the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office as a Patent Examiner from 1998 to 2003 and as a High School Math, Physics and Chemistry teacher.
