Doreen Carter is a Democratic member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 92. She was first elected to the chamber in the November 3, 2015, special election.

Carter was a Democratic candidate for Georgia Secretary of State in the 2014 elections. Doreen Carter lost the general election on November 4, 2014. She also ran for election to District 92 of the Georgia House of Representatives in 2012, losing in the primary runoff.
