Derek has shown in several ways that he has the ability, desire and leadership skills to be the person we need for Nevada State Treasurer.   As a business man Derek has successfully operated the Uehara Financial Group, LLC that provides financial planning and investments services to individuals, businesses and not-for-profit organizations. He is more than capable to lead us as State Treasurer. Derek has high financial values and has first-hand experience in local finances. We need his thoughtfulness and compassion. He listens and engages and his approach in seeking different points of view to reach reasonable conclusions is what this State needs. Derek Uehara devotes a significant amount of his time and efforts working in the communities in an around Nevada. He brings a genuine commitment and a strong leadership as a candidate to the residents of the state and I am pleased to endorse his candidacy for the Nevada State Treasurer.   As a community leader, he has served with the Henderson Chamber ofCommerce, Clark County School District, Nevada Small Business Council and the Water Street District Business Association.   You can see through these examples of his leadership and his ability to serve Nevada faithfully why I have no doubt of his commitment to building a stronger Nevada.
