Dennis Parrett (b. October 30, 1959) is a Democratic member of the Kentucky State Senate, representing District 10. Parrett was first elected to the chamber in 2010. Parrett is running for re-election in the primary on May 22, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018.

On August 23, 2017, Senate Democrats elected Parrett as minority whip. He replaced state Sen. Julian Carroll (D), who was removed from the position on July 23, 2017, after he was accused of sexual harassment.

Dennis received his B.S. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Kentucky in 1981. His professional experience includes working as co-owner of Cecilia Farm Service.
