David Standridge

David Standridge is a Republican member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 34. He won a special election on December 11, 2012, to fill the vacant seat. Standridge is running for re-election in the primary on June 5, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018.
Standridge previously sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 6th Congressional District of Alabama in 2012.
Standridge earned his A.A. in criminal justice from Wallace State College. He earned his undergraduate degree in justice studies from Athens State University and attended the FBI National Academy and Montgomery Police Academy. He served as probate judge and commission chairman of Blount County and is a retired captain in the Blount County Sheriff's Department.
