Dan "Malano" Seum (b. January 28, 1940) is a Republican member of the Kentucky State Senate, representing District 38. Seum was first elected to the chamber in 1994. Seum is running for re-election in the primary on May 22, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018.
Seum previously served a term as Senator from 1989 to 1992. Seum served on the Board of Alderman for the City of Louisville and in the Kentucky House of Representatives from 1982 to 1988.
Seum is a graduate of Officer's Candidate School and served in the National Guard. His professional experience includes working as a restaurant owner.
