Dan Sawatzki was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1982 to 2009. He earned a degree from the Community College of the Air Force in 2007. His career experience includes working as a home inspector and in software development for the Air Force, recruiting and human resources, marketing, mechanics, and homebuilding. Sawatzki has been affiliated with the home inspectors trade association and the Republican Party of Texas.
