Dallas Heard

Dallas Heard is a Republican member of the Oregon State Senate, representing District 1. He was appointed to the seat on April 9, 2018, to replace former officeholder Jeff Kruse. Kruse resigned in March due to sexual misconduct allegations.
Heard will serve in the state Senate until the general election in November. If he is re-elected, he will serve the remaining two years of Kruse's term.
Heard is a former Republican member of the Oregon House of Representatives, representing District 2 from 2015 to 2018. Heard is running for re-election in the primary on May 15, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018.
Heard's professional experience includes working as a farmer, the owner of several rental properties in the Roseburg area and the owner of a landscape contracting business for the last nine years.
