- The legislature needs to keep focusing on improving the economy in West Virginia. This is clearly the top issue in West Virginia. Progress has been made, but there are more things that can be done. Attention needs to be given to the large number of citizens that are killed or seriouslyinjured in West Virginia every year on ATVs. We need to help the municipalities with their pension plans for firemen and policemen. Many of these pension plans are severely under funded. Improving the health of the people in West Virginia is also a top priority.
