2012

Bryant expressed an intention to run for the 2nd Congressional District of Maine, but failed to file before the filing deadline of March 15, 2012. Bryant sought the nomination on the Democratic ticket. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run was March 15, 2012. The primary elections were held on June 12, 2012.

2010

Bryant was not eligible to seek re-election to the 14th District Seat in 2010, due to Maine's term limits. John Patrick ran for the seat on the Democratic ticket. H. Sawin Millett, Jr. ran for the seat on the Republican ticket. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.

2008

On November 4, 2008, Bryant ran for District 14 of the Maine State Senate, beating Glen Holmes.

Bryant raised $22,505 for his campaign.
