Billy Beasley

William M. "Billy" Beasley is a Democratic member of the Alabama State Senate, representing District 28. He was first elected to the chamber in 2010. He currently serves as state Senate minority leader. Beasley is running for re-election in the primary on June 5, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018.
He served in the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 84 from 1998 to 2010.
Beasley was born on March 19, 1940. His professional experience includes serving as the president of Pratts Station LLC and operating the Clayton Drug Company, Clio Drug Company, and Louisville Drug Store.
