Bill Quirk is a Democratic member of the California State Assembly, representing District 20. He was first elected to the chamber in 2012.
Quirk earned his B.S. in Engineering and Applied Physics from Columbia in 1967 and his Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Columbia in 1970. His professional experience includes serving as a Hayward City Councilman. Quick "overwhelmingly won" the endorsement of the state Democratic Party for this seat in the June 5, 2012, open primary.
