Robert Benjamin "Ben" Clark III is a Democratic member of the North Carolina State Senate, representing District 21. Clark is running for re-election in the primary on May 8, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018.
He was first elected to the chamber in 2012. He currently serves as Democratic Caucus Secretary.
Clark earned his B.S. in industrial technology from North Carolina A & T State University in 1981 and his MBA from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Clark has been an assistant professor of aerospace studies at North Carolina A & T State University. He served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, including stints as a radio spectrum manager and operations manager.
