Barbara Robinson is a Democratic member of the Maryland State Senate, representing District 40. She was appointed to the chamber on December 21, 2016, to replace Catherine Pugh (D). Robinson is running for re-election in the primary on June 26, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018.
Robinson served in the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 40 from 2007 to her appointment to the state Senate on December 21, 2016. While in office, Robinson served in the deputy majority whip.
Robinson's professional experience includes working as a talk show host on WEAA Radio and for Dundalk Community College, and teacher at Anne Arundel Community College and Community College of Baltimore.
