Anthony Kuo was an at-large member of the Irvine City Council in California. He assumed office in 2018. He left office on December 13, 2022.
Kuo (Republican Party) ran for election to the California State Senate to represent District 37. He lost in the primary on March 5, 2024.
Kuo attended Southern Methodist University.
As of his run for city council in 2016, Kuo was the communications director for California State Assembly. Ling Ling Chang. His professional experience also includes work as the managing director for the consulting firm Tavoularis Projects, a consultant for the Republican Party of California, the vice president of strategic planning for the government relations firm Iger & Associates, and the chief of staff for Irvine City Councilwoman Christina Shea.
Kuo has served as chair of the Irvine Planning Commission and the Irvine Thanksgiving Community Prayer Breakfast. He has also served on the boards of Atlas PAC, Brandman University's School of Business and Professional Studies, the Brigham Young University Management Society of Orange County, the Exchange Club of Irvine, the Irvine Valley College Foundation, the Raise Foundation, and the Irvine Children's Fund.
Kuo was named the Republican Party of Orange County's Anna Woods Volunteer of the Year in 2004. He has also received a commendation for public service from the Irvine City Council and certificates of recognition from Orange County, the California State Senate, and the California State Assembly.
