I would like to help mitigate the impact in NH of some of the policies coming out of Washington, including the dismantling of the Environmental Protection Agency.

- I believe we need to shuffle the deck on the priorities for NH's budget. First and foremost would be to stop cutting the corporate tax rate, which eliminated 10% of the state's revenue. We need to put people above corporations, many of which are headquartered out of state. The legalization of marijuana would provide a new source of tax revenue for our state, and will also bring a new industry to NH.

- I believe that ensuring that our citizens have access to affordable health care is a top priority for this state. Too many citizens are just a $400 expense away from bankruptcy that can come about due to a health care crisis. I also believe that we need to find new and creative solutions to NH's affordable housing crisis, as too many of our workers are unable to live in the towns in which they are employed. This makes it more difficult for local businesses to find workers and has meant a drain on young talent in NH.
