Reason for Seeking Public Office:

Throughout my childhood and as a young adult my family moved around a lot. I've lived in five different states and have seen a lot of cities, both big and small. When my wife and I moved to Waukesha I knew right away we had found an area, city and neighborhood that is special. Ensuring an area as fantastic as this is represented with professionalism and perspective is important. More than that, it's essential and required to properly serve the constituents. These constituents also deserve someone who will be accessible and who will inform them of the important work to be done in Madison. After a lot of reflection and prayer, I'm confident this is a role I can fill.

  • At times our leaders unfortunately let us down and it's disappointing, especially because our kids see it. Our children should have a positive view of what an elected official is and does for their community and their neighbors. This is something that I hold dear as an elected official myself; representing Waukesha's 12th Aldermanic District on the Common Council.
  • The following is my mission that I've had posted on my Alderman Facebook page since last year when I was elected.
  • My mission is change the perception of a politician by serving my District and City with honesty, integrity and transparency. I'll do this by staying connected with my neighbors in my community and giving the effort expected of me by our voters. Ultimately the inspiration of public service by others in my community and our children will be the ultimate measure of my success.
  • I'm running to fulfill this mission and make District 97 an area that is represented by someone who has respect for the position and stays connected to the community. I also have an enormous amount of respect for our Governor and State Legislature. As a citizen I saw the hard work that was done to pass Act 10, Voter ID and this recent round of tax cuts. I believe we have an opportunity again in the coming election to carry both houses and maintain the Governor's mansion. This will provide us with another great opportunity to continue improving the State.
  • I believe in what we are trying to accomplish and want to be a part of it. I am ready to stand side by side with my fellow legislators to work hard, and work together to take on the tough challenges over the next two years.
