Personal Hero and Why:
My father. He was the most modest, hard working, honest man I have ever known. He loved being a public servant and serving South Dakotans. Even in his death he helped his fellow man by having the foresight and love to donate his organs & body tissue to those that could benefit. God bless you dad, I will love & miss you till the day I die.

Reason for Seeking Public Office:
First and foremost I am a concerned voter. Initially when it was first suggested that I was a good person to run for office, I dismissed it outright out of distaste for politicians and not wanting to be perceived as one. Later I felt guilty in that I have never turned my back on our country and decided I would check to see if there were already some good conservatives running in our district before declining. In office in District 25, by voting record, was only Tim Rave and the state GOP party was not aware of any other Conservatives intending on running for the 2 House seats. After seeing the voting records of Dan Ahlers (D) & Oran Sorenson (D), and after talking with my pastor, my duty to run was obvious. The clincher for me was In Alexandria on March 13th, District 25 Sen. Ahlers (D) & Rep. Sorenson (D) repeatedly claimed to vote or be ?like conservative Republican(s).? I respectfully asked Rep. Sorenson to please justify those comments with his stance of supporting giving protection to gender identity (man believes he is a woman in a man?s body, etc., etc) in South Dakota's anti-discrimination laws (1); his voting NO on HB 1085(2) ?Prohibit certain interaction between children and registered sex offenders at youth activities;? voting NO on HB 1244(2) ?Increase the penalty for solicitation of a minor;? missing the votes on HB 1110(2) (amended) Increase penalties for repeat statutory rape offenders; and, HB 1119(2) ?Prohibit certain acts of sexual penetration and contact between certain school employees and students and to provide penalties therefor.? Rep. Sorenson stated he missed the votes so he could take 2 days off, of the 38 days of session, to attend a wrestling match. He stated he did not know why he voted against the other bills but protested that my questions about his voting record were ?confrontational? and unfair. Both he and Sen. Ahlers stated they would look for my previous unanswered email inquiries (responded to by their colleagues) and they would provide responses to those and explanations as to why they voted against bills to protect our children (Sen. Ahlers 1244(2) only). As of this date, neither has provided the responses they promised.
I am a candidate because first and foremost I am a concerned father, grandfather, retired cop, and a proud South Dakotan. Our country as a whole is in dire straits due in large part to chameleon politicians who will be and say anything to get elected and then do as they please once in office. I have no personal political ambitions as I am running for the same simple reason I joined the Marine Corps as a boy, to serve.

1. Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
- Pro-life
2. Should abortion be legal when the pregnancy resulted from incest or rape?
- No
3. Do you support the prohibition of public funds for organizations that perform abortions?

4. Other or expanded principles
- SD does NOT have a revenue problem. SD has a crony capitalism, a spending, and a priority in spending problem. EB5, GEAR Up, were examples of that corruption in our state government. Republicans and Democrats were part of the latter. We need elected officials that are willing to focus on such waste, target it, and surgically cut back on areas of waste. I have shown I am willing to fight establishment politics to do the right thing for all of South Dakotans even taking on GOP corruption.

D) State & Local Police assist in enforcing all kinds of federal statutes now (bank robbery, serial murders, kidnappings, etc.). SD absolutely has a duty and responsibility to protect South Dakotans from those who commit crimes to be in our state illegally. Illegal aliens are responsible for a multitude of state crimes that they commit while violating our federal immigration statutes. SD should not be aiding & abetting them in avoiding justice.
