- continue to insure access to quality healthcare including precptor tax credit we passed and scholarships/loan forgiveness for HI residents who stay or return to HI as healthcare providers, continue to assist community health centers and local hospitals, EMS with needed resources; expand community paramedicine. increase access to substance abuse treatment and mental health services on all islands. Continue to work closely with Dept of Commerce & Consumer Affairs on professional/vocational licensing issues and consumer protections strategies. Resolve oitstanding issues in our medical cannabis law. Support affordable housing & homeless initiatives & programs especially for Maui
