Reason for Seeking Public Office:
With my experience in both law enforcement and community engagement, I believe I am the better qualified candidate. I am endorsed both by unions and small businesses - which shows people know I am willing to work on issues across the spectrum.
1. Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
- Pro-choice
2. Should abortion be legal when the pregnancy resulted from incest or rape?
- No Answer
3. Do you support the prohibition of public funds for organizations that perform abortions?
- Yes
4. Other or expanded principles
- No Answer
1. Reducing state employee salaries AND/OR pensions?
- No
2. Instituting mandatory furloughs AND/OR layoffs for state employees?
- No
3. Reducing benefits for Medicaid recipients?
- No
4. Other or expanded principles
- I would like to see audits of state and educational programs. Those not meeting their listed performance measures need to be re-vamped or eliminated. That is where the budget will be balanced. Governments cannot continue to support bad programs in hopes they start producing. We know that when one program disappears, another one will be created with better processes and measures in place.
1. Do you support any limits on campaign contributions to state candidates?
- Yes
2. Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
- Yes
3. Do you support the use of an independent AND/OR bipartisan commission for redistricting?
- No
4. Do you support requiring a government-issued photo identification in order to vote at the polls?

- Yes
2. Do you support the legalization of marijuana for recreational purposes?
- Yes
3. Should a minor accused of a violent crime be prosecuted as an adult?
- Yes
4. Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration laws by state and local police?
- No
5. Other or expanded principles
- Marijuana is already approved in Nevada for recreational purposes.
As for the juvenile question, if the violent crime warrants such certification of adult status, then they should be treated as an adult. Nevada is very clear on this through the Nevada Revised Statues.
1. Do you support state government spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
- Yes
2. Do you support lowering state taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
- Yes
3. Do you support reducing state government regulations on the private sector?
- Yes
4. Do you support expanding access to unemployment benefits?
- No
5. Do you support requiring welfare applicants to pass a drug test in order to receive benefits?
- Yes
6. Do you support an increase of the minimum wage of Nevada?
- No
7. Other or expanded principles
- D - not sure what the question is trying to target so the answer is no.
F - arbitrarily raising the minimum wage has proven to be ineffective. Seattle is now backing off their stance as they have seen negative results. If the minimum wage was to be raised, I would like to see both the State and private businesses be involved in providing recommendations. In Nevada, one casino can employ over 50,000 employees. Major jumps in the hourly wage would have extreme negative consequences if not implemented properly.

- No
3. Should teachers be allowed to bring guns into the classroom?
- No
4. Should a license be required for gun ownership?
- No
5. Other or expanded principles
- I support enforcing the laws we have first prior to making new laws. The laws are clear about who can own a gun and who cannot not. All to often, felons are able to plea bargain away gun charges in order to reduce sentences. That has to stop.
1. Should the state government increase funding for treatment facilities to combat opioid abuse?
- Yes
2. Do you support Medicaid expansion through Nevada's health care programs?
- Yes
3. Do you support requiring individuals to purchase health care insurance?

In the following area, please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
- I am the only candidate in the race who is a Veteran and been engaged in the community for over 25 years. I believe local politics should be focused on the people. Most people do not know their assembly person. I plan on changing that fact. When not in session, you will see me working on community issues with the community. My last detail as a Police Captain was Community Engagement for the entire community. I know what it takes to bring entities together to work on local issues.
