Prince Chestnut is a Democratic member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 67. He was first elected to the chamber in a special election on April 18, 2017. The seat was previously held by Democrat Darrio Melton, who resigned to become the mayor of Selma. Chestnut is running for re-election in the primary on June 5, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018.
