Mick Bates is a Democratic member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 30. Bates is running for re-election in the primary on May 8, 2018. The general election will take place on November 6, 2018. He was first elected to the chamber in 2014.
Bates earned a B.S. in physiotherapy from Curtin University. He is the owner of a physical therapy company, Bodyworks.
