Policy Positions

Texas Congressional Election 2018 Political Courage Test

Abortion

1. Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
- Pro-life

2. Other or expanded principles
- I could not imagine my life without my biological son, Oliver.

Budget

1. In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
- No

2. In order to balance the budget, do you support reducing defense spending?
- No

3. Other or expanded principles
- I would not answer yes because there are so many variables to consider for any tax increase or tax decrease. There are other wasteful areas of the government that have not yielded productive solutions to our economy besides cutting or reducing defense spending.

Campaign Finance

1. Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
- No

2. Other or expanded principles
- I try very hard to not support excessive regulation of any kind. Money for campaigns is as it should be traced. I believe corporations and unions should be able to donate to campaigns. It is ok to have limits for such donations.

Economy

1. Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
- Yes

2. Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
- Yes

3. Other or expanded principles
- I marked yes but I must have a balanced budget. I do not support federal spending for economic growth when we have not made efforts to balance the budget. It is like economic death. Yes, I support lowering corporate taxes. These are the work-horses of our economy both small and large corporations.

Education

1. Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
- No

2. Other or expanded principles
- Under no circumstances, actually.

Energy & Environment

1. Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)?
- No

2. Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
- No

3. Other or expanded principles
- I answered no to specifically make a point that I do not support it at this time because we can't afford it. I strongly support Research and Technology in the area of renewable energy to say the least. I purchased and use renewable energy because I believe in it. But, we I am good at budgeting. I believe private sector should make all products needed for renewable energy in the United States. I do not support federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions without a Balanced Budget Amendment.

Guns

1. Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
- No

2. Other or expanded principles
- Not for responsible, law-abiding Citizens. For such as myself, the government must not infringe upon my Constitutional rights. I support legislation only done with the protection of my gun rights. The NRA has the solution to these issues. We need to be proud of our NRA and see how quickly they can suggest a solution. No one wants children killed ESPECIALLY the NRA. Legislators are not listening. The solutions are so simple it is idiotic. We need more statesmen than we need politicians to actually solve problems.

Health Care

1. Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
- Yes

2. Other or expanded principles
- I support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act Yesterday. We have got to do this. Again, we need statesmen in Congress to do this. The solution must be explained. This one, however, will take a short-term, medium-range and a long-term plan. I can help get that done. Not only am I a Master Budgeteer, but I do have Expertise in Strategy.

Immigration

1. Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
- Yes

2. Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
- Yes

3. Other or expanded principles
- Expanding on the question, I did not mention the type of wall that I envision extremely better than brick and mortar.... Oh. And less expensive. I have to support the Laws of the United States that are currently in place. But, its only the right thing. We like and want people to come over to our house. But, don't the great people at least ask you if you home or knock on your door? Same good old Texas common sense. We have to get on a path to do the right thing for ALL people not just a select few.

Marijuana

1. Do you support the legalization of marijuana for recreational purposes?
- No

2. Other or expanded principles
- Not for fun. I do not. Our lungs are amazing. Our breath is everything. I strongly support the components in the plant and other plants that provide their medical benefits along with perhaps lessor side effects should appropriate research determine. I think Benjamin Franklin said this "let food be our medicine and medicine be our food."

National Security

1. Should the United States use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a nuclear weapon?
- Yes

2. Do you support increased American intervention in Middle Eastern conflicts beyond air support?
- Yes

3. Other or expanded principles
- For both questions, I say sometimes. Not always. This will always depend on the circumstances.

Administrative Priorities

Please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
- 1. Balanced Budget Amendment 2. Create two Budgets (one baseline needed now) and the evolving budget that is needed to follow the Budget Amendment Law 3. Prioritize a list for the entire United States based on each Congressmen/Senators District or State, respectively.. as we await cash flow to actually work on those issues in an appropriate response versus this childish bickering.
