Reason for Seeking Public Office:
I have twelve important reasons for caring what happens in Congress -- my three children and my nine grandchildren. My wife, Nina, and I have taught them to work before they play, to save before they spend. They're resourceful, thrifty, and self-reliant. But it almost doesn't matter. Because every time Congress bails out another bank, automaker, insurer, or mortgage lender, they pile debt on my children and grandchildren.
If you take the national debt as it now stands, and divide it equally among every man, woman, and child in the country, we each owe $37,000. That number will more than double over the next ten years. That has real-life consequences. When my ten-year-old granddaughter graduates from college, her share of the national debt is likely to be as high as $100,000.
John Adams said, "There are two ways to enslave a nation. One is by arms. The other is by debt." I want to keep my children free. I'm running for Congress to restore fiscal discipline. I will work to cut spending, cap the budget at 18% of the GDP and pass a balance budget amendment. We need to grow the economy and pay off our debt!

- No
2. In order to balance the budget, do you support reducing defense spending?
- No
3. Other or expanded principles

1. Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
- Yes
2. Other or expanded principles
- Our election process is overrun by money and an oligarchy system.
1. Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
- Yes
2. Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
- Yes
3. Other or expanded principles
- Businesses small, medium and large of all kinds are tax collectors for the federal government. In order to promote competition, you need to lower tax obligation. Taxation of businesses ultimately raises the cost of services and goods. This affects the poorest most harshly.
1. Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
- No
2. Other or expanded principles
- Every state has particular education needs and those should be left to the decisions of the states.
1. Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)?
- Yes
2. Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
- No
3. Other or expanded principles
- However, government should not fund the manufacturing of those ideas.
1. Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
- Yes
2. Other or expanded principles
- I generally support proper legislation that accomplishes: legislation that does NOT infringe on the rights of responsible gun owners but penalizes irresponsible gun owners. I support legislation that will keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill and those convicted of any crime that has removed their 2nd Amendment rights. I am extremely supportive of law abiding citizens rights and the prosecution of criminals.
1. Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?

1. Should the United States use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a nuclear weapon?
- Yes
2. Do you support increased American intervention in Middle Eastern conflicts beyond air support?
- Yes
3. Other or expanded principles
- Based on the technological advancements of the USA, we can prevent our military from having boots on the ground by using air, drone and missile support. Boots on the ground should only be authorized after all non-troop, diplomatic, and economic avenues have been exhausted. After all these avenues have been exhausted, I support military force to prevent hostile governments from possessing nuclear weapons. In the Middle East, understanding that Israel is our only ally, we must do everything to protect the sovereignty and security of Israel.
Please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
- Veterans medical and mental healthcare are top of my list. Although this administration is heading in the right direction, the incumbent has failed to advocate solutions in our district. I will not fail.
Our country is facing epidemic proportions of homelessness, mental healthcare solutions, and drug abuse. US Congress has already approved multi billion dollar bills to address these epidemics but has not yet found a pathway to address the root causes. Working with professionals, we have detailed plans of establishing programs in our district that can be used as a model nationally.
