Embezzlement charge

On September 16, 2016, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported on how state Rep. Acosta's pleaded guilty to federal felony charges back in March 2016. The conviction remained secret until the news report. The charges were related to an embezzlement scheme involving her former boss at a mental health clinic.
