Lee Anderson is a Republican member of the Georgia State Senate, representing District 24. He was first elected to the chamber in 2016.
Anderson is a former member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 117 from 2009 to 2013. He served on the Columbia Board of Education and the Columbia County Commission. Anderson was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 12th Congressional District of Georgia. He lost to incumbent John Barrow in the general election in November 2012.
Anderson's professional experience includes working as a farmer and Deacon at Powell Baptist Church.
